The Indian cotton is very light, which results in the jacket being a nice light layer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDeren sewed a size 42, which is one size up from her measurements (36\", 30\", 38\"). The jacket fits comfortably over a long sleeve shirt or light sweater, but she could have easily sewn up one more size and still have the jacket fit well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDeren is 5'1\" tall and made no modification to the length of the jacket.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pattern includes a sleeve placket which is omitted here. Deren usually shortens her sleeves a good bit and found that the sleeve without the placket was a suitable length for her. She simply hemmed the outer layer and lining together.
